- What is e-Statement?
e-Statement is an electronic version of your paper statement.
- What accounts will I be able to receive e-Statements for?
All Banking accounts and all credit cards.
- What types of e-Statement services are available?
The e-Statement services available are "Email statement" and the "View Online" service.
- What is e-Statement Alert (View Online) Service?
The e-Statement "View online" service is a free alert service where we send an email notification at your registered email address when a new e-Statement is available at Standard Chartered Online Banking.
- What is the "Email e-Statement" Service?
The "Email e-Statement" service is a free service where your e-Statement will be sent directly to your registered email address in an encrypted PDF format.
- Is there a fee for using the e-Statement Service?
No, e-Statement is a FREE service to all Standard Chartered customers.
- How do I register for the e-Statement service?
Existing Standard Chartered Online Banking customers can register for e-Statements directly via the self-service e-Statement module in Online Banking. You can also visit any of our branches or call Phone Banking at 600 522288.
- How will I know if my registration has been confirmed?
A welcome message will be sent to your registered email address after successful registration of the Service.
- When will I receive the e-Statement?
e-Statement Delivery/Alert email will be sent within 2 business days after the Statement Date. Please call Phone Banking at 600 522288 if there is any delay or problem with receiving e-Statements from us.
- How long will my e-Statement be available for viewing at Standard Chartered Online Banking?
Each type of e-Statement account will be archived at Standard Chartered Online Banking within the most recent 12 months.
- Will I continue to receive paper statement(s)?
No. We will stop mailing paper statement(s) to you after the next statement date.
- Do I need to enter my password when viewing my e-Statement?
Yes. Your password is required whenever you want to open the e-Statement attachment that is sent to your mailbox. However your password is not required if you access your e-statement through Online Banking.
- What is my e-Statement password?
- For account e-Statements:
the default password is your full 11-digit account number
- For credit card e-Statements (primary card holder):
the default password is a combination of the first letter of the primary card holder's name as embossed on the credit card followed by the date of birth in DDMMYY format. E.g. If the primary cardholder's name is David Matthews, and date of birth is 14 December 1980, then the default password is D141280.
- Can I change my e-Statement password?
Yes. To change your password, login to Standard Chartered Online Banking, click e-statement > select "Change e-statement" Settings.
- What should I do if I forget my password?
You can reset it at Standard Chartered Online Banking. To change your password, login to Standard Chartered Online Banking, click e-Statements > select "change e-Statements" Settings.
- I have forgotten my e-statement password! How can I open my e-statement attachment?
If you have not changed the default password, you can open the e-statement attachment by following the password logic in FAQ#13.
However, if you have changed your password, you can login to Online Banking to view and download the e-Statements there. You do not require a password to open e-Statements in Online Banking.
- Can I change my registered email address?
Yes. Please login to Standard Chartered Online Banking, select Personal Details, and update your new email address accordingly. Your email address will be updated in 2 business days. Alternatively, you can also place a request by calling 600 522288.
- Do I need special software to view my e-Statements?
To open the encrypted e-Statements, please use Adobe Acrobat Reader version 8.0.0 or above. Please note that you may not be able to open/print your e-Statement with a lower version of Adobe Acrobat Reader 8.0.0. You can download the latest version Adobe Acrobat Reader from www.adobe.com for free.
- Is it possible to receive both paper and e-Statement for the same account?
No. You can only select either paper statement or e-Statement for the same account.
- Can I resume my paper statement? What if I want to start receiving paper copies of my account statement again?
Yes, you can subscribe for paper statement by placing a request at the branch or call Phone Banking at 600 522288. However, please note that all paper statements are chargeable as per the Service and Price Guide.
- How do I cancel the e-Statement Alert (View Online) Service?
To change your subscription preference, please login to Standard Chartered Online Banking > Click e-Statements > Select Manage Subscription to cancel the Alert service.
- What is the latest time for me to cancel my e-Statement service in order to be effective before next statement cycle date?
You can place a request to change the statement delivery mode from e-statement to paper statement with a notice of 15 business days before the next statement cycle date.
- Can I register for e-Statement service for one account and request for paper statement for the other account?
Yes, you can maintain your statement subscription preferences for your accounts and credit cards through Standard Chartered Online Banking.
E.g. You may subscribe to paper statement for your AED current account and e-Statement for your USD savings account.
- Do I need to register again if I have applied for a new credit card/banking account?
The e-Statement Service will be applicable to ALL your credit card account(s) now and those opened in the future with Standard Chartered Bank UAE.
However, the delivery mode for banking accounts differs from one account to the other.
If you would like to register for e-Statement for your new banking account (which is defaulted to paper statement), please logon to Standard Chartered Online Banking > Click e-Statements > Select Manage Subscription to change the delivery mode for your new banking account to e-Statement.
You can also place a request to change the statement delivery mode via our branches or call Phone Banking at 600 522288.
- Do I receive an e-statement every month?
Depending on the types of accounts that you are enrolling with the e-Statement service, certain account statements would be sent on quarterly or annual basis.
- Why have I not received any confirmation/Welcome emails after registration to e-Statements?
Please ensure your registered email address has sufficient capacity at all times and to add Standard Chartered's email address (SCBUAE.e-Statements@sc.com) to your contact list to avoid potential spam filtering.
